Help Designing a Plush Pattern?

I'm planning on doing a little project for a D&D group of mine, namely that every time we start a new campaign, I will make a dragon plush based on either a dragon we killed or one simply that's from the game.
At the moment, my only speed bump is the planning stage. I have reference pictures of the dragon but I can't think of a pose simple enough. Bare in mind, I plan to do a simplified or baby version of said dragon so no pose that's Overly complicated.
Suggestions or visual references would be great, thank you.
